Forming Your Mouth Tray

The Sure-Fit whitening trays will conform to the contours of your teeth and are almost unnoticeable when worn. Follow the step-by-step process to create mouth trays that will be a Sure-Fit for you.

Step 1 :: Heat water just below boiling point in microwave on high for approximately 1-1 1/2 minutes, depending on microwave wattage, container size and amount of water used. (Water temperature should be approximately 160 degrees.)

Step 2 :: Form the Sure-Fit mouth tray one at a time. Insert the whitening tray into the warmed water so the arch is completely submerged. Slowly wave the tray in the water until the tab becomes flexible. A slight loss of shape will be noticed in the tray.

Step 3 :: Lift trays vertically from the water and test for flexibility. The tray material should be soft and pliable.

Step 4 :: Place tray over upper teeth first. Use tab to approximate center. Bite down forcefully but do not bite through tray. Place tongue on roof of mouth to touch the inside of the tray. Suck excess air and water from the tray.

Step 5 :: Press firmly over entire length of arch with first finger and thumb of both hands. The tray is conformed to the surfaces of the teeth when heat is no longer felt, approximately 15-30 seconds.

Step 6 :: Allow trays to completely cool outside the mouth. Trim tab away with scissors making it flush with front surface of tray.Allow trays to completely cool outside the mouth. Trim tab away with scissors making it flush with front surface of tray.

Step 7 :: After whitening, rinse trays with cool water and store in the anti-bacterial case included in the kit.

CAUTION ::

Once the tray enters the heated water it becomes extremely flexible. Be careful not to allow the edges of the tray to fold onto itself. Repeat procedure if the tray is not soft enough to form to your teeth, or if you are not satisfied with the fit.
